Part-worn Tyres
A part worn tyre is defined as a tyre that has been used previously and removed from another vehicle. This tyre may have been punctured that someone else has deem unsafe to repair, or been removed from a vehicle written off in an accident, or replaced due to signs of the ageing of the tyre or simply that someone wanted different tyres. The fact is with a part worn tyre there is no history or integrity that can be associated with it. more...
3mm Tread Campaign
Independent research performed by the Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA) has provided convincing new evidence that worn tyres significantly increase the chances of having an accident on wet roads by increasing the braking distance. more...
Why is Nitrogen better than air for inflating tyres?
Air is made up of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% of other gases. Oxygen found in air is made up of very small molecules which over time permeate or escape the rubber tyre wall. Pure Nitrogen molecules are larger than those found in oxygen and cannot permeate or escape the rubber as easily. This keeps the tyre pressure consistent and stable for up to 3 or 4 times longer than normal air. more...
